Within My Heart

Each person in my family

Has their own place in my heart,

A place I visit often ----

Whether near or far apart.

I go there for the memories

Of happy times we've known

No one else can share them ----

These are memories of my own.

Life has taken each of us

On our separate way

But in your place within my heart

You will always stay.

Our lives have had their ups and downs

We're human after all ----

And there are lots of hard times

And sorrow to recall.

And though we are a family,

Each plays a special part

Providing all the precious love

That fills this mother's heart.

How blessed I am to have each one,

How thankful for your love.

You have a place within my heart

Put there by God above.
